A hand carved wooden mud kitchen spoon, carved with the spiral of an unfurling fern.
The Fern Whirl Spoon is a hand carved wooden play spoon from the Enchanted Garden collection, topped with the spiral you find in a fern frond and a snail shell. Made for mud kitchens, potion play, sand and water.
The spiral catches light and mud in equal measure, and it is the sort of detail a child will trace with a finger while thinking about something else. It works in a sensory tub, on a nature table, and in the real kitchen, because the timber is food safe.
The branch handle has been part of this range since 2018. Carved by hand from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber, finished with food-grade oil.
