Our Journey Began
A mother, three boys, and a home in northern New South Wales-that's where Wattle & Clay began, almost five years ago. An eye for the unhurried things that mark a good childhood, she started gathering and designing pieces built to be touched, worn in, and loved for years.
Our story started in that home. It continues now from the leafy streets of Glen Iris, Melbourne, a different landscape, the same steady pace.
We came to Wattle & Clay a few years in, drawn by the same thing that shaped it-real beauty in natural materials, and a childhood spent outdoors that never quite left us. Taking it on meant carrying that feeling forward for other families, the way it was first carried to us. We design our own range, and gather the rest from small, like-minded Australian businesses. Every piece is chosen with care.
Safe for small hands.
Gentle on the planet.
Made to be handed down.
Our in-house pieces are brought to life by ethical, small-scale artisans across the globe, working with the patience the idea was first built on.
Our hope is simple; that these pieces find their way into ordinary afternoons, quiet play, and the moments families remember. Thank you for letting Wattle & Clay be part of your family's story.
