Description
Hand-felted wool mushroom fairy house with a lift-off roof.
The Fairy Mushroom Cave Set is a two-piece hand-felted mushroom house for fairy gardens and small world play. Lift the purple-tipped roof and there's a cave underneath, ready for the fairies or gnomes who turn up that afternoon. Put the roof on your child's head and they're the fairy.
Small world play starts with a question: who lives here? The wide doorway has room for more than one visitor, so a fairy and a gnome can share the cave while your child decides whose house it is and what happens when it rains. Then the cap comes off and goes on their head, and they're no longer telling the story from outside. They're the fairy, and the garden is theirs to look after. It travels from the garden to the playroom to the tea party, and the stitching holds its shape through all of it.
Hand-felted from wool in two pieces: a felt base and a purple-tipped roof that lifts away. It stands at a tall 35cm by 25cm wide and 17cm deep. Ages 24months+
