Description
Hand-felted wool toadstool house with a red spotted roof that lifts off and fits a child's head
The Red Fairy Mushroom Cave Set is a hand-felted toadstool house for fairy gardens and small world play. Lift the red roof with its white spots and there's a cave underneath, ready for the fairies or gnomes who turn up that afternoon. Put the roof on your child's head and they're the fairy.
Who lives under a toadstool? That's the first thing a child decides. The wide doorway has room for more than one visitor, so a fairy and a gnome can share the cave while your child works out whose house it is and what the weather's doing. Then the roof comes off and goes on their head, and they're in the story instead of watching it. They're the fairy, and the garden is theirs to look after. It goes from the garden to the playroom to the tea party, and the stitching holds its shape through all of it.
Hand-felted from wool in Nepal, in two pieces: a felt base and a red roof with white spots that lifts away. It stands 35cm tall, 25cm wide and 17cm deep.
