The vintage-style Gladstone bag is handmade in vegan leather with brass fittings, a working stethoscope and eleven beautifully made pieces tucked inside.
Somewhere between pretending to listen to a heartbeat and wrapping a teddy in a sling, your child gets to practise being the one who cares. They check, listen and care for their patients. They decide what’s needed, wrap a sore arm, listen for a heartbeat and get straight to work.
The working stethoscope carries sound, so they can hear a real heartbeat through it. The 11-piece set includes wool felt and FSC wood instruments, a wipe-clean patient form and a full-size doctor’s bag. And then there are the little details that make the play their own.
The eye chart spells out something kinder than letters. A felt heart is handed over at the end. The sling gets involved, whether or not anybody actually needs one.
The vintage-style Gladstone bag measures 29 × 15 × 22cm and carries all eleven pieces with room for the next house call. Designed in Australia and made to be played with for years, it’s made to be loved, kept and passed on.
Every bag is finished by hand, so small variations in colour and finish are part of what makes each one unique.

Frequently asked questions
What age is the Doctor Kit designed for?
Ages 3 to 6 is the sweet spot, athough many children play with it well into primary school. The instruments are sized for small hands and the play naturally deepens as they grow. Please note the kit contains small parts and is not suitable for children under three.
Does the stethoscope work?
Yes. The stethoscope is a real, functional acoustic instrument-little ones can press it to a chest and hear an actual heartbeat. It's designed for imaginative play and early learning, not medical use however, and we recommend adult supervision when your child is using it.
What are the instruments and bag made from?
The wooden instruments are crafted from FSC-certified beechwood with smooth, child-safe finishes. The felt accessories are hand-sewn from 100% wool felt. The gladstone bag is premium vegan leather with brass fittings, a fully lined interior, and reinforced corners.
Will this Doctor Kit last?

How will my child learn from playing with this Doctor Set?

Care
Wood Care wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid soaking in water, and if wood feels dry, a light rub with beeswax or food-grade mineral oil will restore its lustre. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight.
Felt CareThe wool felt pieces are delicate by nature spot clean with a damp cloth and a drop of gentle wool wash if needed. Do not machine wash, wring, or tumble dry. Lay flat to air dry away from direct heat. With gentle handling, the felt will hold its shape for years of play.
Vegan Leather CareThe structured gladstone bag is crafted from vegan leather with brass fittings. Wipe the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust or marks avoid harsh cleaners or alcohol-based products. To maintain the bag's shape, store upright when not in use. The brass fittings can be gently buffed with a dry cloth to keep their shine
