The stethoscope carries a real heartbeat, so listening for a pulse means hearing one. Whether they're preparing for a check-up or listening to how someone else is feeling, real sounds give their stories somewhere to go.
Learning what each piece is as they play builds knowledge of whole-body health and wellbeing, while pretend play creates a gentle space to practice care, kindness and empathy.
The patient form gives them somewhere to write, tracing their name or making a note about how Teddy is feeling today. Small steps toward patience, communication and putting care into their own words.
The eye chart looks just like a real one, but spells out "you are kind, smart, unique, so loved"- a heartwarming affirmation tucked into their play.

Bag size a roomy 290 × 160 × 240mm Materials: vegan leather exterior with brass fittings. 100% NZ Wool Felt and FSc Beechwood. Every gladstone bag is handmade small shifts in colour from photos are part of what makes each one unique.
Care
Wood Care wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid soaking in water, and if wood feels dry, a light rub with beeswax or food-grade mineral oil will restore its lustre. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight.
Felt CareThe wool felt pieces are delicate by nature spot clean with a damp cloth and a drop of gentle wool wash if needed. Do not machine wash, wring, or tumble dry. Lay flat to air dry away from direct heat. With gentle handling, the felt will hold its shape for years of play.
Vegan Leather CareThe structured gladstone bag is crafted from vegan leather with brass fittings. Wipe the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust or marks avoid harsh cleaners or alcohol-based products. To maintain the bag's shape, store upright when not in use. The brass fittings can be gently buffed with a dry cloth to keep their shine

What age is the Doctor Kit designed for?
Ages 3 to 6 is the sweet spot, athough many children play with it well into primary school. The instruments are sized for small hands and the play naturally deepens as they grow. Please note the kit contains small parts and is not suitable for children under three.
Does the stethoscope work?
Yes. The stethoscope is a real, functional acoustic instrument-little ones can press it to a chest and hear an actual heartbeat. It's designed for imaginative play and early learning, not medical use however, and we recommend adult supervision when your child is using it.
