Wild Solas

Meet Illona, the maker behind Wild Solas.

Illona lives in the South West of Western Australia, where she hand-stitches every crown and wand from pure wool felt. She started needle felting six years ago, making a birthday crown for her son's fifth birthday. Friends asked for pieces of their own soon after, and she hasn't stopped since.

Her work is shaped by Steiner and Waldorf philosophy, working slowly with natural fibres and a gentle approach to childhood. Each piece is handmade one at a time, so no two are quite the same.
