The Wattle & Clay Doctor Kit is an 11-piece heirloom pretend play set for children aged three and up, made from FSC-certified beechwood, wool felt, brass and vegan leather.
The patient gets checked in. The working stethoscope finds a real heartbeat, the reusable patient form fills with careful notes, and your child begins to learn about empathy and kindness. Then a felt heart is prescribed-because the best medicine, apparently, is a hug.
The kit arrives gift-ready in structured vegan leather with brass fittings. Designed in Australia and ethically made, it's made to be kept long past their pretend play era.
Suitable for ages 3 and up. The gladstone bag measures 290 × 160 × 240mm, roomy enough to hold all 11 pieces and travel to the next house call.
A quick note: the blood pressure cuff has made way for the felt heart - now a keeper in every kit.
Every gladstone bag is handmade and no two are exactly alike. Small shifts in colour from the photos are part of what makes your child's their own.

What age is the Doctor Kit designed for?
Ages 3 to 6 is the sweet spot, athough many children play with it well into primary school. The instruments are sized for small hands and the play naturally deepens as they grow. Please note the kit contains small parts and is not suitable for children under three.
Does the stethoscope work?
Yes! The stethoscope is a real, functional acoustic instrument-little ones can press it to a chest and hear an actual heartbeat. It's designed for imaginative play and early learning, not medical use however, and we recommend adult supervision when your child is using it.
What are the instruments and bag made from?

Care
Wood Care wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid soaking in water, and if wood feels dry, a light rub with beeswax or food-grade mineral oil will restore its lustre. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight.
Felt CareThe wool felt pieces are delicate by nature spot clean with a damp cloth and a drop of gentle wool wash if needed. Do not machine wash, wring, or tumble dry. Lay flat to air dry away from direct heat. With gentle handling, the felt will hold its shape for years of play.
Vegan Leather CareThe structured gladstone bag is crafted from vegan leather with brass fittings. Wipe the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust or marks avoid harsh cleaners or alcohol-based products. To maintain the bag's shape, store upright when not in use. The brass fittings can be gently buffed with a dry cloth to keep their shine
